Select Cable Repair

Here is the process I used to replace the cable.

1.  Pull out the clip hold the cable in the bracket and remove the hold down nut (15mm).  I removed the Air cleaner tube for clearence.

6.   The Arm Rest can then be removed and set to the side.  There are wires connected for the cigarette lighter, be careful not to pull them apart.

7.  Remove the three screws (7mm)holding down the center panel (power windows/mirror control panel) and set aside.  You can then get to the 2 clips holding the cable in.  Remove these.

You can pull the clip out with pliers.  The clip on the front is really small and will need needle nose pliers.

13. REINSTALL in the opposite manner.  Route the cable carefully around the engine assuring it doesn't touch any heat transferring componets.  I ran mine under the tranny mount.
